Flat Gingerbread Man

This is one of my kids favorite activities.  Students take home a small paper Gingerbread Man that they can decorate.  With the help of their parents they decide on someone to send their Gingerbread Man to (we ask that it is someone in a different state).  Then we wait...

The family and friends that receive the Gingerbread Men take pictures of him doing different things in their town and send them back to show the class where they have been.

We post a huge map in the hallway and students love adding their Gingerbread Men and pictures to the map to show where their cookie has been.

Here is the letter to parents explaining how the project works.
